About the Program

We are delighted to inform you that the Department of Chemistry at IIT Kanpur is organizing Women in Science Conference (WiSC@IITK-2023) themed Modern Trends in Chemical and Biological Sciences, highlighting the contribution from women scientists across India, on October 06-07, 2023 at IIT Kanpur. This conference aims to bring together leading women in science from across India to share their research findings, exchange ideas, and experiences on the WiSC@IITK-2023 platform.

Poster Presentation

TITLE SUBMISSION: Please fill out the Goolge Form for Title Submission

Poster Presentation Dates: October 6-7, 2023

Presentation Time: 4:30 PM to 6:00 PM October 6, 2023

Location: Hall of Fame, Outreach Auditorium

Poster Size and Format: Poster presentation (Size A0, Format: Portrait)

Poster Setup:

You are responsible for setting up your poster.
Materials for affixing your poster to the display board (e.g., Velcro, pushpins) will be provided on-site
Posters must be displayed by 10:30 AM on October 6, 2023 on your assigned board. Please leave the posters on the poster boards till October 7th, 2023 (noon time).
Arrive at least 10 minutes before the poster presentation slot. Be ready to present your poster and interact with audiences and judges during the breaks as much as possible.
Please collect your name tags from the reception desk of the Outreach Auditorium and wear it at the time of the presentatio

Poster Evaluation and Awards:

The posters will be assessed by dedicated committee members comprising of our faculty.
We are happy to inform you all that ACS is now supporting best poster awards in five categories (Organic, Inorganic, Physical, Materials, Biological and Medicinal Chemistry).

Non-IITK students/staff/faculty can not be accommodated as participants in this poster presentation.

How to Reach IIT Kanpur

Arrival by AIR:

Kanpur airport is 50 minutes from campus with non-stop flights to Delhi, Mumbai and Bangalore everyday. Lucknow airport is two hours from our campus and well connected to several cities in the country.

Arrival by TRAIN:

Kanpur is well connected to all major northern cities in India via train. Several express trains including Shatabdi, Rajadhani, Vande Bharat, Tejas from major cities like Lucknow, New Delhi, Kolkata, Kharaghpur are passing through Kanpur.
