Applications are invited for the position of Project Engineer under the project entitled “Establishment of an Aircraft Simulation Facility “in Department of Aerospace Engineering at IIT Kanpur. This is a temporary and contractual position.

Essential Qualification & Experience:

• M.Tech in Aerospace/ Electronics/ Instrumentation or related branch or B.Tech + 3 years relevant experience.

Desirable Experience:

• Proven experience in software and hardware integration, preferably in the aviation or simulation industry.
• Understanding of flight simulation software and hardware, including cockpit controls, displays, and peripherals.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting technical issues and implementing effective solutions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Experience with flight simulation software such as X-Plane, Prepar3D, or Microsoft Flight Simulator is highly desirable.

Monthly Salary:

• 26400/- plus HRA as per institute norms.

Term of Appointment:

• Initially for a period of 1 year or end of the project, whichever is earlier.
