Applications are invited for temporary & contractual post of Sr. Project Associate under the project entitled “Centre of Excellence for Large Area of Flexible Electronics at IIT Kanpur” at SCDT, IIT Kanpur.

Job Title: Sr. Project Associate - Embedded Systems

Location: NCFlexE, IIT Kanpur, India

Minimum Qualification: B.Tech/B.E. in Electronics, Electrical, Instrumentation Computer Science, or equivalent.+ 1 Years relevant Experience

Job Overview:

As a Sr. Project Associate, you will be responsible for assisting in the design, development, and maintenance of embedded systems. This role involves working with microcontroller platforms such as AVR and ARM, and requires a good understanding of both analog and digital electronics principles. You should be proficient in programming languages like C, C++, and Python. Familiarity with schematic and PCB design is also essential. Additionally, you should have experience with basic communication protocols such as UART, I2C, and SPI, along with wireless communication protocols like Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) and Wi-Fi.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the design and development of embedded systems based on project requirements.
  • Write, debug, and test firmware code for microcontrollers, and develop code libraries for reuse.
  • Design and develop schematics and PCB layouts.
  • Develop and maintain test procedures, documentation, and release notes for products.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project success.
  • Continuously learn and apply new technologies, sharing knowledge with team members.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshoot issues as needed.

Requirements:

  • Proficiency in programming languages such as C, C++, and Python.
  • Strong knowledge of microcontroller platforms such as AVR and ARM.
  • Experience with schematic and PCB design tools.
  • Knowledge of analog front-end (AFE) design, including amplifier design, filter design, and analog-to-digital conversion.
  • Familiarity with basic communication protocols such as UART, I2C, and SPI.
  • Experience with wireless communication protocols such as Bluetooth and Wi-Fi.

Salary: Rs. 25900-2100-63700/- (per month based on qualification)

Term of Appointment: The appointment will be purely on temporary and contractual basis initially for a period of one year and extendable up to three years or end of the project, whichever is earlier
